Hi, and welcome to Korea Travel Tips.
I’m a software developer living in Korea. Friends visiting from abroad kept asking me the same questions: which transit card to buy, how to get from the airport to the city, which apps actually work here, and how to avoid paying tourist prices. This blog is where I write those answers down properly, so anyone planning a trip can find them.
What you’ll find here
- Getting around: subways, buses, KTX trains, airport transfers and transit cards
- Everyday practicalities: SIM and eSIM, money and payments, useful apps and basic etiquette
- Places and food: neighborhoods, day trips and what to eat, from a local’s point of view
- Trip planning: seasons, budgets and sample itineraries
How I write
I write about things I use or check myself, and I note when information was last updated. Prices, schedules and rules in Korea change often, so please confirm important details (visa rules, opening hours, fares) with official sources before you travel. If you spot something outdated, I’d really appreciate a message.
